A Father’s Cry

A Father’s Cry describes the author’s experience of being sent by his father at the age of three from his home in rural India to live with relatives in the city for his schooling; when he was 12, his father died by suicide, threatening his education and leaving his mother and younger sisters in jeopardy; he was compelled to assume the role his father would have had, building a new life for his family in the U.S.

Sri Burugapalli has had a long, successful career as a leader in corporate America. Sri lives with his wife and daughter in Charlotte, North Carolina where he runs his own real estate firm, enjoys long bicycle rides, and writes poetry during his spare time. Sri also teaches in Harvard Club of Charlotte’s Management Development Program for local young executives, and runs a small charity, Prabha.
